Partner with us to train young political leaderswho serve the public interest

Uongozi Fellowship is built by a coalition — funders, universities, civic institutions, mentors, and ordinary Kenyans who refuse to look away. There is a place for you here.

What it funds

What your support covers.

Ten fellows a year. Funding a place is not a contribution toward a programme — it is the whole of one person's formation, start to finish.

01

Teaching and curriculum

Twelve weeks of constitutional law, public finance, procurement integrity and comparative anti-corruption practice, taught by practitioners.

02

The Singapore residency

Two weeks abroad — flights, visas, accommodation, and study access to institutions built to resist capture.

03

A living stipend

So that a place is open to someone who cannot afford three months without income. This is what makes selection about integrity rather than means.

04

Placement and capstone

An embedded placement in Kenya and a published reform capstone, supported through to completion.

Sponsor a seat
USD 12,000
per sponsored place

For an employer, county government, agency or development partner funding a fellow directly. Sponsored fellows sit in the same cohort, meet the same standard, and are selected on the same shortlist.

How sponsorship works

Full costings, budget and overhead ratio are shared in the partnership pack. Ask and we will send it.

Ways to support

Six ways to partner.

01

Fund a fellow

A named fellowship covers one Kenyan's tuition, stipend, and residential costs for the full three-month cohort. Multi-year commitments preferred.

02

Institutional partnership

Foundations, universities, and civic organisations that want to co-deliver curriculum, share research, or convene our fellows with their networks.

03

Mentor a cohort

Whistleblowers, investigative journalists, judges, auditors, and public servants who can spend a weekend a month with the fellows.

04

Host a placement

Newsrooms, oversight bodies, and ethics offices willing to take one fellow for a four-week embedded placement during month three.

05

Amplify our reach

Media partners, event conveners, and community leaders who can help open the fellowship to applicants from every county — especially outside Nairobi.

06

Give as an individual

Small, recurring gifts from Kenyans and friends of Kenya are the backbone of our independence. Everything is disclosed in the annual donor list.
